Job summary

The Gates Foundation seeks a senior data and AI enablement professional in Seattle to build impact accounting and predictive models that inform investment decisions across our strategy. You will develop data-driven insights, ensuring equity and reproducibility across modeling approaches, and translate complex results for leadership and program teams.

With an advanced quantitative degree, you will collaborate with hub officers and program strategy to contribute to grant design and governance

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• Mastery of quantitative modeling methods including causal inference, meta-analysis, effect-size estimation, cost-effectiveness analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Experience building analytical models that inform investment or program strategy in education, social policy, or related fields.
• Experience translating complex quantitative findings for non-technical audiences.
• Experience developing reproducibility and documentation standards for analytical work.
• Experience collaborating with program teams to integrate modeling insights into planning and governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain impact accounting models, including effect-size extraction frameworks and cost-effectiveness estimates.
• Lead predictive modeling and forward-looking analyses to inform strategy and allocation decisions.
• Synthesize research and data to surface patterns, risks, and opportunities for portfolio direction.
• Ensure reproducibility and equity across modeling approaches and document assumptions.
• Translate model outputs into actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
