Job summary

EnquBio Inc. in San Diego seeks a Senior Scientist to lead immunology and inflammation projects, focusing on ex vivo pharmacology, immune profiling, and tissue-based assays.

You will design and execute in vitro and ex vivo studies using primary cells and human tissues, interpret data, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in immunology or related field, 3–5+ years of postdoc/industry experience, and strong flow cytometry and cytokine assay skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience; CRO experience preferred.
• Strong foundation in immunology and immune-mediated disease mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with multiparameter flow cytometry and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and execute immunology-focused in vitro and ex vivo assays.
• Process tissues from autoimmune/inflammatory models; perform immune cell isolation and phenotyping.
• Develop immune cell functional assays including activation, proliferation, differentiation, cytokine production, and cytotoxicity.
• Isolate, culture, and characterize primary immune cells; establish co-culture systems.
• Design multiparameter flow cytometry experiments with panel design and data interpretation.
• Conduct ex vivo studies using animal tissues and human cells when applicable.
• Apply ELISA and multiplex cytokine assays to characterize immune responses.
• Contribute to development of advanced tissue-based or organoid assay capabilities.
• Troubleshoot assays, document results, and prepare study reports and presentations.
• Collaborate across teams to align study design, sample collection, and timelines.
• Mentor junior scientists and research associates.
