Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks a Sr. Scientist – Non-Regulated Immunoassays to support PKDM programs with hands-on immunoassay development and validation.

You will lead cross-functional efforts to develop and qualify assays across ELISA, MSD/ECL, Gyrolab, Quanterix, and AlphaLISA, generating robust data for program decisions. The role emphasizes strong laboratory expertise, troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration across Discovery Research, Precision Medicine, Translational Safety,

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/MD or equivalent with post-doc experience.
• Master’s degree with three years of scientific experience considered.
• Bachelor’s degree with five years of scientific experience considered.
• Industry experience in immunoassay development is preferred.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, validate, and execute non-regulated immunoassays for PK measurements.
• Perform sample analysis across ELISA, MSD/ECL, Gyrolab, Quanterix, and AlphaLISA.
• Design experiments, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Generate high-quality, reproducible data adhering to scientific standards.
• Lead assay transfer and method qualification activities to support programs.
• Interpret results and communicate findings via reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with Discovery Research, Precision Medicine, and Translational Safety.
• Maintain thorough laboratory records and data management practices.
• Evaluate new immunoassay technologies and methodologies for potential adoption.
• Support instrument maintenance, reagent qualification, and inventory management.
