Amgen is seeking a Senior Scientist in PKDM-BA (Immunoassay) at the Thousand Oaks, CA site to lead non‑regulated immunoassay development for pharmacokinetic measurements and soluble target proteins. You will design, optimize, validate, and execute assays across several platforms, generating high‑quality data to guide drug development decisions.

The role emphasizes hands‑on laboratory work, cross‑functional collaboration, and scientific leadership in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent with post‑doc experience preferred.
• Alternate: Master’s with 3+ years of scientific experience.
• Alternate: Bachelor’s with 5+ years of scientific experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, validate, and execute non‑regulated immunoassays for PK and soluble target proteins.
• Perform sample analysis using ELISA, MSD/ECL, Gyrolab, Quanterix, AlphaLISA.
• Independently design experiments, troubleshoot, and implement assay improvements.
• Generate high‑quality, reproducible data and adhere to SOPs.
• Transfer, qualification, and validation activities to support programs.
• Communicate results via technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with Discovery Research, Precision Medicine, Translational Safety, and others.
• Maintain accurate records and data management.
• Assess and implement new immunoassay technologies.
