Job summary

Erickson Immigration Group in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Attorney (NIV/LABS) to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity. You will manage a high-volume caseload and guide a team of paralegals while delivering strategic solutions to clients.

This role requires 6+ years in business immigration law, strong client relations, and excellent written and verbal communication. You will conduct legal research, draft filings, and advise on complex visa eligibility while

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload of U.S. employment-based visas and petitions.
• Supervise a team of paralegals for high-volume clients.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to support client requests.
• Explain sophisticated immigration concepts and present strategic solutions for clients.
• Draft and prepare letters and legal documents based on established precedents.
• Assess and evaluate client’s immigrant visa eligibility.
• Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
• Utilize web-based immigration case management systems and database continuously and accurately.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a high-volume caseload of U.S. employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas and petitions, including (but not limited to) H-1B, TN, EB-1, L-1, O-1, NIWs, and associated dependent filings.
• Effectively manage client relationships and supervise a team of paralegals for high-volume clients.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to support client requests and projects.
• Explain sophisticated immigration concepts and present strategic solutions for clients.
• Draft and prepare letters and legal documents, typically based on established precedents.
• Assess and evaluate client’s immigrant visa eligibility.
• Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
• Utilize web-based immigration case management systems and database continuously and accurately.

Qualification Requirements:

• 6+ years of business immigration attorney work experience
• Member of a state bar and in good standing with the associated state bar association
• Ability to manage complex case strategies with company contacts and clients
• Understanding of nuanced and complex immigration law concepts.
• Ability to review Paralegal work product carefully and promptly
• Effective written and verbal communications skills, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources)
• Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems
• Strong organizational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritize
• Ability to generate work product with considerable accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
• Works well in a team environment
• Accepts and adapts to feedback regarding work performance
• Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and Case Management Systems – Salesforce (Litify), VisaTrax/INS Zoom and other Document Management Systems.
