Job summary

Journey in New York is seeking a seasoned, multidisciplinary creative to lead experience design and storytelling across space and media. You will translate briefs into compelling visions, guide art direction for film, interactive media, and immersive experiences, and collaborate with Producers and Designers to deliver standout work.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of demonstrable design experience in a creative agency or production environment.
• A sharp eye for design excellence and details.
• Ability to design in a wide range of styles and platforms.
• A natural storyteller with narrative-led visual and experiential design.
• Ability to take briefs and bring visions to life through art direction and hands-on work.
• Experience across film, motion design, exhibition, spatial design, branding, or immersive content.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; efficient workflow.
• Experience with Figma.

Responsibilities

• Take on creative or strategic briefs and develop them into compelling approaches, including visitor experience narratives and visual direction.
• Create narrative outlines, moodboards, style frames, and experiential concepts across media.
• Work autonomously from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and studio standards.
• Workshop and develop the creative vision with the project team.
• Provide hands-on art direction to junior creatives and contractors across film, interactive media, and experiential design.
• Partner with Producers on timelines and project reviews.
• Create presentation materials for existing projects and new business.
