Job summary

Journey in New York is seeking a seasoned, multidisciplinary creative to design experiences and tell stories across space and media. You’ll collaborate with the Project Director, Creative Director, Producers, and Designers to translate briefs into visions for cultural and brand projects.

Key responsibilities include developing narratives, moodboards, and experiential concepts, while providing hands-on art direction across film, interactive media, and immersive design.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of design experience in a creative agency or production environment.
• Sharp eye for design excellence and details.
• Ability to design across a wide range of styles and platforms.
• Natural storyteller shaping visual and experiential design.
• Experience taking briefs and translating them into compelling art direction.

Responsibilities

• Turn briefs into compelling creative approaches including visitor experience narratives and visual direction.
• Develop narrative outlines, treatments, moodboards, style frames, and experiential concepts.
• Work autonomously from concept through execution while aligning with client objectives and studio standards.
• Collaborate with project team to refine creative vision through workshops.
• Provide hands-on art direction to junior creatives and contractors across film, interactive media, and experiential design.
• Partner with Producers on timelines and project reviews.
• Create presentation materials for existing projects and new business.
