Job summary

AbbVie Immunology Discovery Pathology group seeks an Image Analysis Scientist to lead AI-driven digital pathology efforts. The role entails developing deep learning and computer-vision methods to analyze histopathology images, quantify cell populations, and understand tissue architecture in immunology targets.

You will build computational workflows, collaborate with pathologists and discovery scientists, and stay current with AI advances to drive drug discovery.

Qualifications

• PhD with 4+ years of applied experience in quantitative image analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Python for scientific computing, image analysis, and ML.
• Experience developing reproducible computational workflows and well-documented code.
• Experience with digital pathology platforms (Visiopharm/QuPath) and multiplexed imaging datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and validate ML, DL, and computer vision for digital pathology.
• Develop image analysis workflows for multiplexed datasets to quantify cell populations and phenotypes.
• Collaborate with pathologists and scientists to ensure biologically meaningful quantitative results.
• Communicate strategies and results to cross-functional teams; maintain reproducible workflows.
