Job summary

Talentify seeks a Senior QA Engineer to own end-to-end QA for an IIoT device ecosystem, validating firmware, calibration workflows, and telemetry across device, cloud, and mobile surfaces. You will embed automated testing in CI/CD pipelines and validate MQTT, API, and data exchanges end-to-end.

The role spans Windows Forms/Services, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, App Services, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and MAUI-based mobile apps, with emphasis on observability, performance, and reliability

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software testing and QA experience with end-to-end platform testing.
Automated testing strategies using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Puppeteer.
Strong understanding of Black box testing, Load Testing, Observability and Performance/Reliability.
Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and an ownership mindset.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server queries.
Location can be based in Atlanta, GA or Herndon, VA area.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end QA of IIoT devices and supporting services including firmware behavior, calibration workflows, message processing, and telemetry accuracy.
Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) with quality gates and clear failure reporting.
Design test strategies for firmware, coverage planning, regression strategies, and traceability from requirements to results.
Validate IoT telemetry ingestion pipelines and MQTT payload schemas, timestamps, units, and data quality rules.
Verify telemetry hierarchies and channel delivery across API and sFTP data exchanges.
Validate event-driven workflows in Azure Service Bus (Topics/Subscriptions and Queues) including ordering, retries, dead-letter handling, idempotency, and replay scenarios.
Perform system, integration, and data validation testing across Windows Forms/Services, Azure Functions, Docker-based Azure services, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB.
Implement end-to-end quality strategies across data flow: IoT telemetry → ingestion → processing → storage → reporting/API extraction.
Lead performance and reliability testing and validate observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) for fast defect detection.
Plan and execute MAUI-based mobile validation and BLE interactions with field-like conditions.
Identify AI use cases to improve productivity and assess AI-generated outputs.
