Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in the United States (Atlanta/Herndon area) seeks a Senior QA Engineer to own end-to-end testing for its IIoT device ecosystem across firmware, calibration, telemetry, and APIs.

You will design QA strategies for device, cloud, and mobile surfaces to ensure reliable field deployments. The role embeds testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) and validates event-driven workflows (MQTT, Azure Service Bus) across Windows Forms/Services, Azure Functions, Container

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software testing & QA experience.
• Experience with automated testing strategies using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Puppeteer.
• Strong understanding of Black box testing, Load Testing, Observability and Performance/Reliability.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and an ownership mindset.
• Experience with basic queries using Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end QA of IIoT devices and services, including firmware behavior and telemetry accuracy.
• Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps).
• Design test strategies for firmware, including coverage planning and regression strategy.
• Validate IoT telemetry ingestion pipelines (MQTT) and data quality rules.
• Validate telemetry data hierarchies and channel delivery across API and sFTP.
• Validate event-driven workflows in Azure Service Bus (Topics/Subscriptions and Queues).
• Perform system, integration, and data validation testing across Windows Forms/Services, Azure Functions, Container Apps, App Services, SQL Server, Cosmos DB.
• Implement end-to-end quality strategies for data flow from IoT telemetry to reporting/API extraction.
• Lead performance and reliability testing with observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).
• Plan and execute MAUI-based mobile app validation and BLE interactions.
