Job summary

Happen Bank in San Francisco is seeking a senior leader to set the technical direction for enterprise IAM, including authentication, authorization, and privileged access. You will shape architectures across SailPoint, Okta, AD, AWS, Terraform, and GitHub, while staying hands-on when needed.

In this role you’ll mentor engineers, drive regulatory-aligned security programs, and lead complex identity initiatives from strategy to implementation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IAM/identity security experience and relevant degree or equivalent work.
• Deep expertise in identity lifecycle, governance, authentication, authorization and privileged access.
• Hands-on with SailPoint or enterprise IGA, Okta, AD, AWS identity services, Terraform, GitHub, and automation.
• Experience with enterprise privileged access management, Delinea Secret Server, including vaulting and rotation.
• Proven ability to design scalable identity architectures and lead complex initiatives.
• Experience building automation via scripting, IaC, and AI-assisted development with sound engineering principles.
• Experience in regulated environments with audits, control assessments, and remediation.
• Strong knowledge of SOX, FFIEC, OCC, PCI DSS, NIST, least privilege, and audit evidence.
• Ability to defend technical decisions under competing requirements.
• Ability to mentor engineers, raise standards, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset and drive for improved identity security and operational resilience.
• Understanding how to apply AI to identity security with responsible adoption.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction, architecture, and engineering standards for the identity security ecosystem.
• Design and deliver scalable identity solutions across SailPoint, Okta, AD, AWS, Terraform, and GitHub.
• Own the design and operation of privileged access management on Delinea Secret Server.
• Build automation, APIs, and IaC to improve provisioning and governance.
• Define and mature non-human identity capabilities and lifecycle governance.
• Lead complex identity initiatives from strategy through implementation with cross-functional partners.
• Evaluate emerging identity security capabilities and set AI adoption standards.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards through reviews and PoCs.
