Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a senior Identity Platform Engineer to design, secure, and operate enterprise‑scale identity services using Okta Workforce Identity Cloud. You will partner with cloud, security, and platform teams to deliver scalable solutions, improve user experience, and reduce operational risk.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation via IaC and CI/CD, and lead incident response and recovery efforts while shaping governance and controls across the identity platform.

Qualifications

Seven or more years in large-scale systems, cloud security, IAM, or related fields.
Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience with Okta Workforce Identity Cloud.
Two or more current Okta certifications (e.g., Professional, Administrator, Consultant, Developer).

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale identity solutions leveraging Okta.
Lead onboarding of applications with SAML, OIDC/OAuth, SCIM, federation, and lifecycle management.
Drive automation, IaC, and CI/CD practices to improve delivery and reliability.
Mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and improve security posture.
