Job summary

Vanguard in Malvern, PA seeks a Senior Identity Platform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise identity services using Okta. You will lead onboarding, lifecycle management, and federation, while partnering with cloud and security teams to strengthen resilience and security across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes automation, platform engineering excellence, and incident response leadership, mentoring peers, and driving continuous improvement in identity controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale systems, Cloud Security, Identity Platform Engineering or IAM-related fields.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale identity solutions leveraging Okta Workforce Identity.
• Lead application onboarding including SAML, OIDC/OAuth, SCIM provisioning, federation, lifecycle management.
• Develop scalable identity architectures to improve security, efficiency, and user experience.
• Partner with cloud/platform teams to integrate identity controls across environments.
• Automate operational processes, governance, and onboarding activities.
• Drive best practices for deployment, testing, releases, and configuration standardization.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis to improve platform resilience.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for platform health and KPIs.
