Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead technical design on client engagements, review implementations, and set engineering direction in identity platforms. You will prototype, review code, and make build-versus-buy decisions while mentoring engineers.

Travel may be required as projects vary by client. You will work in a senior capacity, often in environments with evolving standards and rapid product iteration, collaborating with risk, security, and engineering teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on development or prototyping in last 24 months.
• 4+ years in at least one language (Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java, or C++).
• 4+ years designing and building concurrent or distributed systems.
• 3+ years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, incl. containers/CI/CD.
• 2+ years of technical leadership of at least 2 engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent or 12+ years work experience.
• Client-facing or consulting experience; able to communicate with executives.
• Ability to explain hard technical ideas to a CISO during design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design for an engagement.
• Review implementations and prototype in the agentic identity stack.
• Set technical direction and review engineers' code.
• Reverse-engineer identity behavior in client environments and design the target state.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and document rationale.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas.
• Build reference implementations and technical content for the practice.
• Grow engineers through close collaboration and mentorship.
• Travel may be required for this role.
