Job summary

Scale AI is seeking an experienced Identity Engineer to design and implement secure authentication and authorization across enterprise systems. You will work on SSO, MFA, and federated identity solutions, and influence governance policies aligned with security standards.

You will leverage OpenFGA, Authzed, Cedar, Topaz and cloud infrastructure practices across AWS/Azure/GCP to enable scalable identity management in a fast-growing AI platform environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience after graduation.
• Strong background in infrastructure and identity systems.
• Deep knowledge of authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML) and IdP solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable identity infrastructure for secure auth and authorization across enterprise systems.
• Develop authentication mechanisms (SSO, MFA, federated identity) and RBAC/ABAC strategies.
• Create governance policies aligned with security standards (NIST, SOC2, ISO 27001).
• Collaborate with teams to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
