Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a hands-on senior technical leader to own the architecture and evolution of the Enterprise Identity stack. You will set the long-term technical vision for the identity platform and drive alignment across product, security, and infra teams.

You will ensure scalable, secure, low-latency identity services (SSO, SCIM, tenant models) used by OpenAI's global enterprise customers.

Qualifications

Experience owning architecture of a broad, business-critical platform or large-scale distributed-systems domain at senior-staff level.
Ability to set multi-year technical direction and align multiple teams around complex decisions.
Understanding of enterprise identity, enterprise architecture, and operations for large customers in multi-product environments.

Responsibilities

Own the technical vision and architecture for the Enterprise Identity stack (SSO, SCIM, tenant architecture, groups, permissions).
Design and evolve highly available, latency-sensitive identity systems serving a global enterprise base.
Establish common identity models and primitives across OpenAI products to enable scale.
Set a high security bar by anticipating abuse and failure modes of identity capabilities.
Drive alignment across enterprise product, infrastructure, and security partners and influence roadmaps beyond the team.
Provide technical leadership to senior engineers and raise architectural quality across the organization.
