Job summary
RCT Systems in Reston, VA seeks a Senior/Expert Test Engineer to design, execute, and document testing for a large government program focused on IdAM/ICAM, attributes, entitlements, and digital policy management. You will perform integration, functional, unit, and UAT testing in a DevOps/SecDevOps environment.
The role requires 8+ years in software testing or development, TS/SCI with polygraph, and strong SDLC knowledge.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI + Polygraph.
- 8+ years software testing and/or software development.
- BS + 11–15 years relevant experience, or MS + 10–13 years; equivalent experience may substitute.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, SQL, Linux, JUnit.
- Experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and independent-work skills.
- Experience working in matrixed/large technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, execute, and document software/system testing.
- Perform integration, functional, unit, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Support testing in a DevOps/SecDevOps environment.
- Conduct testing after software deployments.
- Create test plans, procedures, reports, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and investigate system issues.
- Work closely with developers, engineers, customers, and technical teams.
- Track and report test results and defects.
- Help improve quality-control and reliability processes.
