Job summary

RCT Systems is seeking an Automated Tester (Expert) in Reston, VA, to support a government program focused on IdAM/ICAM, attributes, entitlements, and digital policy management. You will design, execute, and document comprehensive testing across software and systems, and develop automated scripts in a DevOps/SecDevOps setting.

The role requires 8+ years of testing experience, strong SDLC knowledge, and hands-on work with Java, Selenium, SQL, Linux, and JUnit, plus experience with GitHub, Jira,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI + Polygraph is required.
• 8+ years of software testing and/or software development experience.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, organization, troubleshooting, and independent-work skills.
• Experience working in matrixed/large technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration, functional, unit, and user acceptance testing.

Senior/Expert Test Engineer supporting a large government technical development program focused on Authentication, Authorization, Identity & Access Management (IdAM/ICAM), attributes, entitlements, and digital policy management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, execute, and document software/system testing
• Perform integration, functional, unit, and user acceptance testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts
• Support testing in a DevOps/SecDevOps environment
• Conduct testing after software deployments
• Create test plans, procedures, reports, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and investigate system issues
• Work closely with developers, engineers, customers, and technical teams
• Track and report test results and defects
• Help improve quality-control and reliability processes

Required Qualifications
