Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior ICT Security Designer in Charleston, SC to lead engineering efforts for physical security and telecommunications projects. You\'ll develop construction documents (SD/DD/CD) and coordinate with clients and internal teams to meet project objectives.

The role requires a bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering, 10+ years of security system design experience, and familiarity with Autodesk tools. Local candidates are preferred and U.S. citizenship may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in security system design with Autodesk familiarity.
• RCDD certification is a plus.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture and able to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Produce floor plans, device layouts, riser diagrams and system schematics for telecom and security.
• Review RFPs, scopes of work and technical specs for integrators and vendors.
• Review shop drawings and as-built docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Act as a technical authority for telecom and security infrastructure.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to define design requirements.
• Edit specifications to fit project specifics and maintain industry standards.
