Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior ICT Designer to help design and specify ICT systems across diverse facilities. You will contribute to fiber optic backbones, cabling pathways, and the complete construction document set for major projects.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in security system design, proficiency with Autodesk, and a commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture. You will work with project teams across locations in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in security system design with familiarity with Autodesk.
• RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) is a helpful credential.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and apply state-of-the-art ICT systems, techniques, procedures, design and modifications.
• Design and specify ICT systems including fiber optic backbones, horizontal cabling, bonding and cabling pathways.
• Take responsibility for the complete set of construction documents.
• Independently perform ICT engineering assignments with general instruction from Project Manager.
• Write specifications covering ICT system matters and collaborate with owners as part of the project team.
• Assist Designers, Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed during all phases of security design.
• Conduct QA/QC on the work of others as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
