Job summary

HDR in Des Moines, IA seeks a Senior ICT Designer to lead ICT system design including fiber optics, cabling pathways, and complete construction documents. You will independently handle ICT assignments with PM guidance and write detailed specifications while coordinating with owners and project teams.

Preferred CPP certification and 10+ years in security system design, with Autodesk proficiency. This role emphasizes collaboration in an employee-owned culture and delivery of secure, resilient ICT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of security system design experience.
• Familiarity with Autodesk software.
• RCDD certification is helpful.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and apply ICT system techniques, procedures, design and modifications.
• Design and specify ICT systems including fiber optic backbones, cabling pathways.
• Take responsibility for the complete set of construction documents.
• Independently perform ICT engineering assignments with broad guidance from Project Manager.
• Write specifications covering ICT system matters; coordinate with owners as part of the project team.
• Assist other Designers, Coordinators or Technicians and contribute to security design phases.
• Conduct QA/QC on the work of others as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
