The role leads security and ICT design, collaborates with project teams, and mentors junior designers while ensuring QA/QC and cross‑discipline integration. HDR emphasizes an employee‑owned culture and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years experience in security system design with Autodesk.
• RCDD credential is helpful.
• Strong commitment to employee‑owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select state‑of‑the‑art ICT and security systems, techniques, procedures, design, and modifications.
• Design and specify ICT systems including OSP/ISP fiber backbones, cabling pathways, and telecom room design.
• Design and specify security systems such as Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance.
• Present designs in client‑facing settings, representing HDR in a professional manner.
• Serve as a lead designer with drawings and specifications for the entire discipline.
• Independently perform engineering assignments with guidance from the Project Manager.
• Coordinate cross‑discipline work to ensure an integrated scope.
• Mentor junior designers and help grow the ICT/Security team.
• Conduct QA/QC of the work of other designers.
