Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior ICT Designer to lead the design and specification of ICT systems, including fiber optics and cabling paths, within their Building Engineering Services Group. You will prepare complete construction documents and independently perform ICT engineering tasks under project leadership.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years in security system design, familiarity with Autodesk, and a willingness to contribute to HDR’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• 10+ years of security system design experience.
• Familiarity with Autodesk software.
• RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) helpful.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and apply state-of-the-art ICT systems, techniques, procedures, design and modifications.
• Design and specify ICT systems including fiber optic backbones, horizontal cabling, bonding and cabling pathways.
• Take responsibility for the complete set of construction documents.
• Perform ICT engineering assignments with limited guidance from Project Manager.
