Job summary

RED Group is seeking a Sr. Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Engineer to lead control system design, programming, and on-site support for client projects in the North Texas area. The role blends in-office collaboration with on-site as-needed travel to client sites, supporting ongoing projects.

Responsibilities include leading technical guidance, development of control narratives, and startup/commissioning across PLC/HMI/DCS/SCADA platforms. PE license is a plus, travel required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in control systems design and programming, focusing on PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
• Experience with Modicon PLC languages: Control Expert, Unity, Concept.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation software: Logix Designer, Studio5000, RSLogix5000/500.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA software: Wonderware, Intellution, FactoryTalk ME/SE, VTScada, Ignition.
• Ignition software experience and certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, I/O lists, C&E matrices, and control documentation.

Responsibilities

• Program and configure PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Design, integrate, and implement automated equipment.
• Develop software/hardware design specifications for control systems.
• Create and test PLC/HMI software and documentation.
• Lead technical aspects on projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Travel to customer sites for site visits and start-up support.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure success.
