Job summary

Park Place Technologies is looking for a Sr. Technical Support Engineer- L4 (IBM i) who will be responsible for implementing customer projects on IBM i Power platforms. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that customer requirements are understood and met within project timelines.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical support engineering and be proficient in IBM Power infrastructure and OS troubleshooting. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, including travel for onsite installations.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in a technical support engineering role.
• Experience with SAN replication and Switch configuration.
• Ability to assist/train staff and produce technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Own project-related tasks and implement solutions for the IBM i platform.
• Deliver projects in line with customer requirements and timelines.
• Perform onsite installations of IBM Power servers, requiring travel.

Skills

IBM Power Hardware infrastructure expert (physical IBM power installations)

IBM i O/S technical troubleshooting skills

Proficiency in MS Office applications
