Job summary

Uline seeks a Senior Systems Engineer for IBM i to design, optimize and support our mission-critical IBM i infrastructure. You will lead daily operations, monitor performance, and ensure security and policy alignment.

You will manage backups, DR and HA, collaborate with app and database teams on deployments, and plan upgrades while documenting configurations and procedures. A strong mentor mindset is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field is required.
• 10+ years of experience with IBM i technologies and related tooling.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Uline does not participate in the H-1B lottery.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation, monitoring and performance tuning of IBM i environments.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.
• Partner with application and database teams on deployments and troubleshooting.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations and capacity planning.
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations and policies.
• Mentor and support the systems engineer team.
