Uline is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to keep our IBM i systems running at peak performance. You will design, optimize and support mission-critical IBM i infrastructure in a collaborative, on-site environment.

With 10+ years of experience and strong leadership, you will mentor teammates and drive upgrades, capacity planning and DR/HA initiatives to ensure reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with IBM i Technologies including CL, HMC, network configuration, BRMS/Backup and DR, HA/DR, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation, monitoring and performance tuning of IBM i environments.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.
• Partner with application and database teams on deployments and troubleshooting.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations and capacity planning.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of configurations, procedures and policies.
• Mentor and support the systems engineer team.
