Job summary

CTG, a Cegeka company, is seeking a senior technical escalation resource for IBM i (AS/400) systems. The role includes advising on architecture, performance, patching, firmware, and lifecycle management, while coordinating cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements.

Remote work with up to 100 onsite hours per year in New Jersey, travel and lodging covered by the client. A Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
• Extensive experience supporting IBM i (AS/400) systems and enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed knowledge of the client's technical environment.
• Serve as the senior technical escalation resource for IBM i (AS/400) systems.
• Recommend improvements to architecture, performance, patching, firmware, lifecycle management, and technical best practices.
• Support technical roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate technical activities across operational support teams.
• Provide up to 100 hours of onsite support annually in New Jersey.
