Job summary

CTG, a Cegeka company, is seeking a senior technical escalation resource for IBM i (AS/400) systems. The role includes advising on architecture, performance, patching, firmware, and lifecycle management, while coordinating cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements.

Remote work with up to 100 onsite hours per year in New Jersey, travel and lodging covered by the client. A Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering and strong English communication are required.

Skills

Strong IBM i (AS/400) technical expertise. Knowledge of system architecture, performance optimization, patching, firmware, and lifecycle management. Strong troubleshooting, technical leadership, and cross-team coordination skills. Experience: Extensive experience supporting IBM i (AS/400) systems and enterprise infrastructure. Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues, provide senior-level escalation support, and guide technical improvements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90.00 to $95.00/hour.
