Job summary

CTG seeks a Lead IBM i (AS/400) Engineer for our client. Location: Remote, with up to 100 hours of onsite work annually in New Jersey. Travel and lodging expenses will be covered by the client.

Duration: 12 months, with possible extension. Duties include maintaining knowledge of the client's environment, serving as the senior escalation resource for IBM i systems, and recommending architectural and lifecycle improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting IBM i (AS/400) systems and enterprise infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed knowledge of the client's technical environment.
• Serve as the senior technical escalation resource for IBM i (AS/400) systems.
• Recommend improvements to architecture, performance, patching, firmware, lifecycle management, and technical best practices.
