The senior engineer will lead architecture decisions, provide performance tuning, patching, and lifecycle management guidance, and coordinate activities across support teams while ensuring operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Lead engineer role with IBM i (AS/400) knowledge.
• Onsite in New Jersey; 100 hours/year remote allowed within USA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior escalation resource for IBM i.
• Provide proactive recommendations on architecture, performance, patching, firmware, lifecycle management, and best practices.
• Support technical roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate technical activities across operational support teams.
• Provide up to 100 hours of onsite support annually.
