Northeastern University is seeking a Senior Identity & Access Manager (IAM) Engineer to design, implement, and manage the IAM framework. You will drive deployment of IAM tools, lead cross-functional teams, and optimize provisioning/de-provisioning through automation while ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include guiding changes through formal processes, collaborating with IT and security, and elevating the organization’s identity posture using Entra, AD, Shibboleth,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or relevant field.
• 7+ years in Sr. IAM engineering and implementation roles.
• Extensive experience with Entra ID, AD, Entra Connect, Grouper, Shibboleth and Savyint.
• Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect.
• Shibboleth/Incommon Federation/SailPoint/LDAP knowledge a plus.
• Advanced scripting with Bash, SQL, PowerShell, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving in complex production environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead deployment and integration of IAM technologies leveraging AD and Entra.
• Create and implement operational best practices for IAM availability.
• Collaborate with IT, security and business teams; mentor IAM staff.
• Develop automation scripts/workflows (PowerShell) for provisioning/de-provisioning.
• Act as escalation point for complex IAM incidents and oversee resolution.
