Job summary

Nova Southern University is seeking a Senior Identity & Access Management Engineer to design and maintain enterprise IAM systems. You will manage lifecycle, authentication, authorization, and governance across students, faculty, staff, affiliates, and contractors.

The role emphasizes federation, SSO, MFA governance, and automated provisioning. Collaboration with IT, HR, and research units is essential to secure access while supporting academic operations at NSU.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of identity and access management concepts, including provisioning and access governance.
• Experience with directory services and identity platforms such as Entra ID, Active Directory, and LDAP.
• Familiarity with SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM protocols.
• Knowledge of privileged access management concepts and platforms.
• Experience with audit and regulatory requirements for access control.

Responsibilities

• Designs, engineers, and operates the identity lifecycle across multiple environments.
• Oversees SSO, federation services, and partner integrations with standards like SAML and OIDC.
• Manages multifactor authentication governance and recovery workflows.
• Develops and maintains identity architecture documentation and guidance.
• Implements automated provisioning/deprovisioning via SCIM and APIs.
• Collaborates with IT, HR, Registrar, and Research Administration to align identity services.
