Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (IaC) - TS/SCI for a world-leading technology organization in the Raleigh, NC area. This hybrid role leads the design, development, and implementation of scalable Infrastructure as Code to support secure, cloud-native platforms.

The ideal candidate is a senior engineer with deep expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices, including Terraform, Terragrunt, Kubernetes, and Python-based tooling.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.
Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes environments.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
Architect and implement reusable infrastructure modules across environments.
Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, and security teams for cloud deployments.
Support and optimize Kubernetes-based platforms and container workloads.
Develop automation tooling, including Python-based solutions, to improve reliability.
Ensure infrastructure adheres to security, compliance, and operational best practices.
