Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a team located in Bethesda, MD on a hybrid basis. The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and operate secure, scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting both enterprise IT workloads and modern application platforms.

The role requires hands-on Azure expertise, IaC skills with Terraform/Bicep/ARM, and a track record of reliable cloud operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code in Azure.
• Experience designing secure, private Azure networking architectures.
• Financial services or regulated-industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and core platform services.
• Own reliability, performance, and lifecycle management of production Azure environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents across compute, storage, and networking; IaC implementation.
• Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or equivalent.
• Promote repeatable, version-controlled, and peer-reviewed infrastructure deployments.
