Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Sr. Platform Engineer – TS/SCI for a world‑leading technology organization in the Reston, VA area.

The position is hybrid, designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and cloud‑native technologies. The candidate should have senior‑level experience supporting mission‑critical systems in highly secure environments, with strong Terraform/Terragrunt, Kubernetes, and Python skills, plus cloud experience

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience deploying, managing, and scaling Kubernetes environments.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and tooling development.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP in secure or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Architect and support Kubernetes-based platforms for containerized applications in secure environments.
• Develop automation and tooling, including Python-based solutions, to enhance platform reliability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, and security teams to enable scalable and compliant platform services.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and platform operations.
• Ensure platform solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements for classified systems.
