Job summary

Flywheel Energy, LLC is seeking an I&E Technician III to serve as the senior technical resource for instrumentation, control systems, and automation across operations. You will lead complex projects, drive maintenance and calibration programs, and mentor Technician I and II personnel in a high-stakes oil and gas environment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in industrial instrumentation, automation, or electrical work in oil & gas.
• Advanced proficiency with 4–20 mA, HART, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, and digital buses.
• Experience with Emerson FB107/FB3000 and ABB platforms; leading projects and mentoring juniors.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites.
• Preferred CCST II/III certification and PLC/SCADA programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and commissioning of complex instrumentation and control projects.
• Own preventive maintenance and calibration programs; drive reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot multi-system failures (PLCs, SCADA, field instruments, electricals).
• Review electrical drawings; ensure hazardous area classification compliance.
• Maintain documentation library: drawings, P&IDs, data sheets, control narratives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor Technician I/II personnel.
• Champion safety and contribute to JSA development and incident investigations.
• Identify process improvements and support capital project scoping.
