Job summary

Flywheel Energy, LLC seeks an I&E Technician IV to own the instrumentation and controls program and lead major capital projects at our Rocky Mountain operations. You will mentor technicians, design training, and drive reliability improvements across PLC/SCADA systems.

In this high-responsibility role, you will set technical standards, manage vendor relations, and ensure safe, compliant operations while delivering on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industrial instrumentation, automation, or electrical work in oil and gas.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor technicians.
• Experience programming PLC/SCADA in live operations.
• Knowledge of fieldbus protocols (4-20 mA, Modbus, HART).
• Valid driver’s license and travel to field sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from scope to commissioning.
• Own instrumentation & controls program and standards.
• Develop training programs and mentor Technician I-III.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manage vendors/contractors and project budgets.
