Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Sr.

Electrical & Instrument Technician to coordinate installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and instrument equipment at the Woodbine, GA hydrogen liquefaction plant. The role requires strong electrical/instrument aptitude, on-call responsiveness, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to improve reliability and equipment health for H2 production.

Qualifications

Minimum five years in industrial electrical, controls, or related field.
Associate or vocational degree preferred or additional 2 years experience.
Ability to read schematics and P&ID diagrams.
Experience with test equipment and complex troubleshooting.
NFPA 70E or high-voltage safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
Lead scheduled preventive/corrective maintenance and process improvements.
Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain low/medium/high voltage electrical systems.
Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and suppliers for maintenance/inspection.
Enter work orders and Planned Maintenance in the CMMS (Maximo/Emaint/SAP).
Assist in training new E&I technicians and mentoring junior staff.
Respond to urgent plant needs and may require short-notice return.
Occasional travel to vendor shops or other Plug facilities (0–20%).
