Job summary

Plug Power Inc. seeks a Sr. Electrical & Instrument Technician to coordinate installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and instrument equipment at the Woodbine, GA hydrogen liquefaction plant.

This on-call role requires strong HV/IEC knowledge and the ability to liaise across departments to improve reliability. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial electrical/controls, an electrical degree or equivalent, and experience with DCS/PLC systems, relays,

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years in industrial electrical/controls field.
Associates or vocational degree in electrical field preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience interpreting electrical diagrams, P&ID, and one-line diagrams; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical/instrument equipment.
Lead execution of preventive/corrective maintenance and process improvements.
Troubleshoot and maintain low to medium voltage systems (480VAC–34.5kV).
Support control systems, instrumentation, PLC cabinets, and process control devices.
Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, and suppliers; maintain detailed CMMS work orders.
Mentor junior E&I technicians and train new staff.
