Job summary

Flywheel Energy, LLC is seeking an I&E Lead to guide field-level instrumentation, electrical, and automation across Eagle Ford assets. You will partner with Production, Facilities, SCADA, Engineering, and contractors to minimize downtime and boost reliability.

Role requires ownership mindset, proactive problem-solving, and a strong safety focus. You will oversee calibration, installation, and repair of field systems and support startup activities for new wells and facilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required or equivalent training.
Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation preferred.
7+ years oil & gas field experience in electrical/instrumentation/automation roles.
Strong troubleshooting with field electrical and instrumentation systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, loop drawings, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Lead troubleshooting and repair for electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related production interruptions.
Support reliable operation of facilities, tanks, compressors, SWDs, AI lift systems, and infrastructure.
Diagnose PLCs, RTUs, VFDs, transmitters, motor controls, and instrumentation loops.
Coordinate field response activities to minimize downtime and deferred production.
Oversee installation, calibration, and repair of field instrumentation and electrical systems.
Support commissioning and startup for new wells and projects.
Collaborate with SCADA and Automation teams to maintain system integrity.
Oversee third-party I&E contractors and internal teams in the field.
Promote safety culture and maintain strong relationships with operations leadership.
