Job summary

OPD, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Senior I&E Designer to own and lead I&E design from concept through construction at our Katy, TX headquarters. The role centers on collaboration, delivering high-impact projects, and developing a talented design team.

You will develop and review I&E deliverables, coordinate with piping, civil/structural, and process teams, perform QA/QC, and identify risks. A strong background in electrical/instrumentation design is required.

Qualifications

• Experience developing I&E design deliverables for industrial/EPC projects.
• Experience creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the overall I&E design scope, schedule, and deliverable quality for assigned projects
• Develop and review key I&E deliverables including one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnects, and cabling schedules
• Coordinate I&E scope with other teams to resolve issues early
• Perform QA/QC reviews
• Review vendor documents and integrate equipment package requirements
• Identify risks and drive timely resolutions
• Provide progress updates on risks and priorities
• Promote safety-first culture in design activities
