Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Senior I&E Designer to own and shape I&E design from concept through construction. You will lead and develop a design team at our Katy, TX headquarters, Monday–Friday, with a focus on delivering high-impact EPC outcomes.

You will collaborate across disciplines, develop comprehensive I&E deliverables, and ensure safety-first practices while supporting project schedules and QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and reviewing design documents including schematics, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, interconnects, layouts, or similar deliverables.
• Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the overall I&E design scope, schedule, and deliverable quality for assigned projects.
• Develop and review key I&E deliverables, including interconnects, loop drawings, and instrument details.
• Coordinate I&E scope with piping, civil/structural, process and construction teams to resolve issues early.
• Perform and lead QA/QC reviews and review vendor documentation.
• Proactively identify risks and drive timely resolution while updating on progress.
