Job summary

Optimized Process Designs LLC is seeking a Senior I&E Designer to own and drive I&E design solutions from concept through construction. You will lead a design team, coordinate with piping, civil/structural, and process groups, and deliver high-impact EPC project outcomes in a collaborative environment.

The role sits at OPD's headquarters in Katy, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no visa sponsorship. A strong emphasis on safety and quality, with opportunities to mentor a talented design

Qualifications

• Experience delivering I&E design deliverables for industrial/EPC projects.
• Experience creating and reviewing schematics, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, or interconnects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the overall I&E design scope, schedule, and deliverable quality for assigned projects.
• Develop and review key I&E deliverables including one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnects, loop drawings, and panel/layout designs.
• Coordinate I&E scope with piping, civil/structural, process and construction teams to resolve issues early.
• Perform and lead QA/QC reviews of design deliverables.
• Review vendor documentation and integrate equipment package requirements into design deliverables.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and inefficiencies and drive timely resolution.
• Provide clear progress updates on risks and priorities to project teams.
• Promote and reinforce a safety-first culture in all design activities.
