Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior I&E Designer to join the Metairie, LA team. You will design instrument and electrical equipment, prepare detailed drawings, and develop control circuits for components and motors.

The role requires interpreting directions, performing load calculations, and generating BOMs and specifications for projects. You will use 2D/3D CAD tools to create layouts, review drawings, and ensure compliance with engineering changes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience preferred.
• AutoCAD software experience required.
• PDMS software experience preferred.
• MS Office software experience preferred; CARS experience preferred.
• Field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies from layouts and designs.
• Interpret verbal or written direction to initiate preliminary design.
• Perform sizing and electrical load calculations as required.
• Develop or assist in control circuits for instrument components.
• Create layouts with 2D/3D CAD software and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare BOMs and specifications; update as needed.
