Job summary

Audubon Companies is seeking a Senior I&E Designer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on designing instruments and electrical equipment, assembling packages, and producing detailed drawings and BOMs for complex systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience, be proficient in AutoCAD and PDMS, and lead medium to large projects within offshore and chemical processing sectors. Strong problem solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree from a Technical Institution preferred.
• Minimum of 15+ years’ of experience preferred.
• Field experience required.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry required.
• Small/Medium project lead experience required.
• Large project lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages including preliminary, conceptual, and construction deliverables as well as engineering calculations.
• Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies with projections, sectional views and standards.
• Perform sizing and electrical load calculations (cable sizing, conduit sizing, voltage drop, cable tray).
• Develop or assist in development of control circuits for instrument components, logic controllers, and relays.
• Review and optimize the application and function of instruments.
• Check drawings for project applicability and accuracy.
• Prepare BOMs and procurement lists; revise per engineering changes.
• Utilize 2D/3D CAD to create layouts of instrument systems and components; create fabrication drawings.
• Produce drawings and deliverables per company standards within schedule and budget.
