Clean Harbors, Inc. in Deer Park, TX, seeks a Senior I&E Control Specialist to lead and upgrade control systems (DCS/PLC/SIS) for safety and production. You will drive lifecycle management, modernization, and cyber-secure OT infrastructure across sites, coordinating with I&E teams and vendors.

The role requires deep hands-on ABB 800xA and INFI 90/Symphony experience, 10+ years in process industries, and willingness to travel ~25% to support regional facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, chemical, controls, automation, instrumentation, or related engineering discipline preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive control system experience in chemical, refining, hazardous waste, manufacturing or other continuous process industries.
• Hands-on ABB 800xA and INFI 90/Symphony experience with lifecycle support.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, ladder logic, control narratives, and loop tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, environmental compliance, and MOC activities for automation and control system modifications.
• Own reliability and performance of DCS, PLC, SIS, HMI, historian, and OT networks across sites.
• Monitor system health, execute preventive maintenance, minimize downtime and risk.
• Develop, implement, and optimize control strategies, alarms, interlocks, and graphics.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for control systems, OT networks, instrumentation, and cybersecurity.
• Lead lifecycle management, migrations, upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives.
