Integra in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to lead advanced control system design, development, and integration for mission‑critical manufacturing and modular infrastructure. You will guide PLC/SCADA/HMI projects, ensuring reliable, safe operation and optimal performance across complex facilities.

The role requires in‑depth expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with cross‑functional teams, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering (preferred).
8+ years of progressive controls or automation engineering experience.
5+ years PLC/SCADA/HMI development in manufacturing/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation of complex control systems including PLC, SCADA, and HMI for manufacturing and mission‑critical infrastructure.
Develop control system architectures, logic, and configurations for reliability and safe operation.
Design, program, test, and validate PLC applications using ladder logic, structured text, or function block programming.
Optimize automation to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
Lead integration efforts with MES and data historians; collaborate with IT and production teams.
Oversee FAT/SAT and commissioning activities; review and approve designs and documentation.
