Job summary

Peterson Technology Partners (PTP) seeks a Senior I&C Engineer for a 100% onsite role in Birmingham, AL, focusing on instrumentation and control-system design for simple-cycle and combined-cycle power projects.

You will develop P&IDs, specify instrumentation and control valves, and craft turbine and balance-of-plant control strategies while supporting HAZOP/SIL reviews, checkout, construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical, Chemical or related Engineering.
• 7+ years I&C experience.
• PLC and/or DCS experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs.
• Specify instrumentation and control valves.
• Develop turbine and balance-of-plant control strategies.
• Support HAZOP/SIL reviews.
• Support checkout, construction and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot startup and controls issues.
