Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering; seven years of related experience.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• PE license recommended.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on familiarity with control systems found in power generation facilities is recommended.
• Ability to clearly communicate verbal and written technical information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Travel requirements – 30%.

Aufgaben

• Lead both small and large controls projects from both technical and project management perspectives.
• Lead controls design for multi-discipline projects.
• Prepare control systems (DCS and/or PLC), CEMS and instrumentation contracts.
• Perform control system retrofits and migrations.
• Develop detailed scope documents for upgrades/migrations.
• Prepare instrumentation design deliverables (instrument lists, data sheets, installation details, 3D modeling, location plans).
• Prepare controls design deliverables (I/O list, logic diagrams, graphic sketches, alarm management, programming).
• Prepare electrical design deliverables (cable schedules, schematics, wiring diagrams, installation packages).
• Participate in P&ID development and equipment subcontract specifications.
• Manage instrumentation and control system contracts (spec development, bid evaluation, contract admin, submittals, FAT, site supervision, closeout).
• Verify and perform design calculations, project studies and reports.
• Perform on-site I/O checkout and functional testing during commissioning.
